JEFF & JANE HUDSON - WORLD TRADE CD

6 Tracks - Limited to 150 Copies

Jeff and Jane Hudson are a husband and wife duo of visual artists who helped form the Boston art punk sound in the late 1970s, most notably as founding members of the new wave group The Rentals. During their solo work in the 1980s they performed with popular bands of the era, including Suicide, the Clash and Duran Duran, and released the “World Trade” EP around this time. They quite notably recorded their version of “The Girl from Ipanema” on this record. ‘World Trade’ has, until now, remained one of those hard-to-find gems of an era before new wave music emerged from the underground into the mainstream spotlight. We at Psychofon Records are excited to make this forgotten pearl available for the first time on CD in the same arrangement as the original 12″! This is release #2 in the ongoing “Forgotten Pearls” series from Psychofon Records
